Cookies and analytics

Who runs this site
DealMaker is a GetBrian product (getbrian.xyz). Questions about this notice or your data: dealmaker@getbrian.xyz.
What we measure, and only if you say yes
If you press Accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits to dealmaker.getbrian.xyz: which pages are viewed, roughly where from (country level), device and browser type, and how you arrived (the site that referred you, reduced to its address). We use it to see which pages are useful. Nothing is sent to Google before you accept. Page measured: the home page only. Everything else on the site, including the demo workspace, onboarding and sign-in, is never measured by Google Analytics.
What we switch off
Advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are off. The address of each page is sent without its query string (except campaign tags that start with utm_) and without any fragment. Referrers from this same site are not sent.
Cookies
Accepting sets these on this site only (not shared with other GetBrian sites): _ga and _ga_<container id> (tell visits apart; Google Analytics keeps them up to 2 years). Your choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage under gb_consent (“granted” or “denied”), not in a cookie, and never leaves your device. Declining sets no analytics cookies.
Changing your mind
Use “Cookie settings” (in the footer of the home page) at any time. Choosing Decline switches the tag off and deletes the analytics cookies immediately.
Google acts as our processor for analytics; data may be processed outside the UK/EEA under Google’s safeguards. Data retention in Google Analytics is set to 14 months. See Google’s own policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Other data
The demo workspace you build is kept in your browser’s local storage on your device. If you choose to sync it, a copy is stored on our server, and signing in uses an emailed link and sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. The “Talk to Brian” form and demo sign-up send us what you type (name, email, company, message).
Separately from Google Analytics, the site records simple usage events on our own server: the name of an action (such as a button click), small details like whether it worked or a count, the page path and a time. These use no cookies and are not sent to Google. They are recorded whether or not you accept analytics cookies, including inside the signed-in app, and they can be forwarded to a webhook that we operate.
If the AI features are switched on and you use them (for example Brian drafting a message), the lead and profile details needed for that draft are sent to OpenRouter, which passes them to an AI model provider (Anthropic’s Claude). If you use prospect search, your search criteria are sent to Apollo. Contact us at dealmaker@getbrian.xyz about any other data.
